After all, I do not know how to read Japanese (thus, cannot translate it) and even though the Japanese ToraDora! light novels are the original source material for the series, this work will deal with adapting the fan translated versions into a form more suited for and familiar to native English readers. The first thing to note is that this project seeks to adapt, not translate, the ToraDora! Light novels. Thus came the inception of this English adaptation project. After actually reading some of these translations (and other officially translated Japanese light novels), however, I've come to the conclusion that (at least the majority of) Japanese light novels translate poorly into traditional and contemporary English prose.
